The Wedding Experience

      BEFORE THE WEDDING

Once you fill out my contact form you will get an investment guide from me with detailed package options, a la carte items, etc.  If you decide I am in the right price range for you, we can meet up for a coffee and talk details! I think it is so important to get to know each other before booking to make sure we get a long. Your photographer is going to be with you a lot over the next year, so its vital you like them! Not in state? No worries, we can FaceTime or Skype! If we meet up and you decide you like my stupid jokes and inability to not swear at least once during our meeting, then I sent you a contract and invoice, you sign, pay a 25 percent retainer to hold your date and BAM, I am all yours.

In the next couple of weeks you can expect a small thank you from me in the mail and we will get to planning your engagement shoot. I usually start by setting a date and time and then creating a shared Pinterest board for us to share inspo with each other. Your engagement shoot lasts 1-2 hours depending on your package, and its basically just a really really good time. After the engagement shoot, you can expect your edited images within two weeks in an online gallery. Many couples use one of these photos for their Save the Dates.

One month before your wedding I will send you a questionnaire to go over all the little details including a family shot list, vendor details, timeline, etc. This helps the day of your wedding run smoothly, lets me know any expectations you have that I may have not already known about and gives me tons of info for a blog post after your wedding! I am always happy to hop on a call or meet up again to go over the details and help in anyway I can.

      DURING THE WEDDING

My second shooter and I arrive to the getting ready locations to shoot details. We will go over what you should have with you when we go over the questionnaire. While you are sipping champagne, I am capturing all the small things such as invitations, rings, shoes and jewelry, just to name a few. You have a champagne toast with your girls, I suggest we play the music a bit louder, it’s all very standard. During this time, my second shooter is with your spouse-to-be doing all the same things. We coordinate meeting up for the first look or ceremony so you don’t see your love before you are meant to. We do the first look, away from everyone, so you can have an intimate moment before you say I do.

Ceremony time! My second shooter and I capture different angles of the ceremony so we can get your smile as you walk towards the alter as well as your partners inevitable tears. I’ll probably be grinning from ear to ear like a dork. Don’t mind me. We capture your parents crying, the flower girls being cute, all that jazz.

YAYYYY YOU ARE MARRIED! First things first, we get you some food and drinks. Next we capture all those family shots you gave us on that pre-wedding questionnaire. The list helps us get these done quickly and efficiently, so we can go grab some GORGEOUS sunset shots of you and your new husband or wife and you still can have some time to enjoy cocktail hour. Party time is next. Every couple does it differently. Some just want to dance all night, some want to do ALL the traditions. I capture all the moments (planned and unplanned) and work with your coordinator to make sure we are ready for anything. I may pull you off the dance floor for a quick night time portrait or you may have an epic sparkler exit to end the night.

When the night is over, I go home, have a bowl of cereal, upload and back up all your photos that night.

      AFTER YOUR WEDDING

Like I said, after your wedding I go home, eat a bowl of cereal (usually raisin bran cause I am a grandma), and upload & backup all your photos. I get really excited and start looking through for a few sneak peaks to share with you so you have some fire social media content right away. You’re welcome.

I send you some sneak peaks within the first week of your wedding. Your full gallery will be ready for you within 6-8 weeks from your wedding date in a personalized online gallery for you to share with your family and friends. You can also order prints directly from your gallery from my trusted labs.

Next, if you ordered an album, we get to designing that! I love albums, they are a beautiful addition to any coffee table. Parents like them too.

After you get your album and prints, we are technically done working together but I will probably still comment on all your Instagram posts for ever because I will miss you guys! Like I said before, you spend a lot of time with your photographer leading up to your wedding.
